Project CFO to wind asset management consultancy

We are looking for a talented and ambitious lead financial consultant, to – on behalf of a client – take a Project CFO-role in a Taiwanese offshore wind farm during development and construction phase.  For the right candidate the position will offer great influence and excellent global career opportunities in the long term.

 Your tasks

You will be based at our client’s office in Taipei (Taiwan) together with ~7 PEAK Wind colleagues as well as the client’s organization of ~70 people. Here you will take responsibility for all financial project activities on one of our clients’ offshore wind farms through development and construction phase.

You will be responsible for all financial and accounting aspects and deliver financial transparency to maximize value creation – together with your finance team. Additionally, you will be part of the project’s senior management team and steering committee. Responsibilities include:

  • take responsibility for financial management, including management of finance team, business case assumptions, systems, planning, budgeting and implementation of processes;
  • provide reporting on financial performance, liquidity, risks and budgets to internal stakeholders, steering committees, and shareholders;
  • ensure correct implementation of finance requirements into EPCI contracts, including VAT, tax, customs and payment terms;
  • Be part of further developing PEAK Wind’s financial service offerings by sharpening our financial toolbox and building relationship with key decisions makers

Your qualifications

You have finance experience with long-term asset investments in a JV-setup. Ideally, you have been working with several offshore wind projects already. You are proactive, adaptive and a ‘can-do’ person combined with a structured and result-driven approach to problem solving. You have a financial background with natural flair for structure and coordination. Your mindset is outgoing, and you communicate effortlessly with stakeholders at all levels.

It is a requirement that you are open for an expatriation of at least 2-3 years.

Taiwan – 1st employee in Taiwanese branch
We are pleased to welcome Kurt Huang as O&M Supply Chain Manager. Kurt comes with deep insight into the Taiwanese supply chain from his previous employments in Walsin Lihwa Corporation and ABB and has been involved in the Taiwanese offshore wind industry development for several years. Kurt will be focal in growing and localizing PEAK Wind’s Taiwanese activities, based partly in Taipei and partly in Changhua.

Aarhus – Strengthening of Finance Team
Bo Andersen seeks new opportunities and starts as Finance Manager joining our Aarhus office. Bo will be fundamental in the establishing a strong Finance set-up and culture. Bo comes with very relevant experience from Terma Group, Ørsted Wind Power and Deloitte.

Additionally, Christian Dybkjær joins our finance team as Student Assistant. Christian is well underway with his M.Sc. in International Economic Consulting.

Copenhagen – Business Development Team expands
We are happy to welcome Leoni Christensen strengthening our Copenhagen team as Business Developer. Leoni comes with a strong background in strategic business development and has very relevant experience from Oersted and Danske Bank.

Also, Suzy Wu is joining as Student Assistant having very relevant experience in Marketing and Branding from Venture Cup and Estee Lauder. She is currently finishing her M.Sc. of Brand and Communication at CBS (Copenhagen Business School).

Copenhagen – PEAK Wind’s first Master Thesis Student

Balance of Plant Project Manager to Wind Energy Consultancy

We are looking for a talented and ambitious Balance of Plant (BoP) Project Manager, to support offshore wind farm development, construction and operations.

Your tasks

Within the area of Balance of Plant, you will be working on offshore wind farm projects throughout their life-cycle – from development to operations – providing both project management and technical expertise. Internally in PEAK Wind you will also take the responsibility of further strengthening our Balance of Plant team and competences. Example assignments include:

  • Support the projects in the O&M concept development by providing best practice input for the BoP area
  • Develop and formulate O&M requirements for the individual BoP supplier packages (cables, foundations, sub-station, SCADA etc.) during the development and construction phases
  • Participate in the negotiations with service contractors during both the procurement and execution phase
  • With an Asset Integrity mindset, develop standardized and project specific service and maintenance concepts
  • Project manage and support operating assets with asset integrity management and larger campaigns
  • Develop new PEAK Wind products and services in the field

You will be based in one of our offices in Copenhagen or Aarhus (Denmark), Taipei (Taiwan), or our upcoming office on the US east coast from where you will have recurrent presence at client or project offices. Depending on your desires and our project pipeline an expatriation may be pursued.

Your qualifications

You have a broad experience and skill-set from offshore wind with focus on the operations of Balance of Plant assets. Ideally, you have been working with a number of offshore wind projects already. You are proactive, adaptive and a ‘can-do’ person combined with a structured and result-driven approach to problem solving. You have a technical or operational engineering background with natural flair for commercial topics.

Operations Preparations Manager to Wind Asset Management Consultancy

Your tasks

Once the project matures you will join the project development organization in the specific country of origin. You will act as project manager with responsibility for the operational preparations team as well as all operations preparation tasks. Example assignment include:

  • take responsibility for project management, including planning, budgeting and development of processes from early stage development toward project commissioning in order to facilitate successful operations;
  • Act as O&M interface for all development and construction activities
  • Negotiate service contracts and facilitate O&M requirements to EPC procurement with support from the back-office team;
  • Setup organization and secure resourcing as the project matures from development towards operations
  • Develop country specific solutions for the specific project based on general PEAK Wind best practice

Your qualifications

O&M Supply Chain Manager for Taiwanese Offshore Wind Projects

We are looking for a talented and ambitious O&M Supply Chain Manager, to be instrumental in the continued growth and success for PEAK Wind and our clients.

Your tasks

You will be based in Taiwan, preferably in Changhua, or alternatively in Taipei, where you will work closely with PEAK Wind’s Taiwan-team and with our Taiwanese client. You will be our first local hired employee and therefor will be key in establishing our local business opportunities. Assignments additionally includes:

  • screening and interfacing possible Taiwanese O&M suppliers and service providers for offshore wind farms operations and maintenance services.;
  • take responsibility in pre-qualification and tender processes,
  • support and monitor O&M supplier/service provider preparation progress;
  • development of marketable products and tools, such as project management services, strategic reviews, etc.

Your qualifications

You have at least 5 years of experience from the energy sector and have strong commercial and communicative skills in both English and Mandarin – in speaking and writing.

You have a profound flair for stakeholder management and building relationships. Additionally, you are proactive and adaptive person with a structured and result-driven approach.
