We are now looking for an IT student assistant for our Copenhagen office.

Serve as Single Point of Contact for IT Needs in PEAK Wind

Based in our Copenhagen office (Denmark) you will be responsible for supporting your PEAK Wind colleagues globally with IT. You will get the chance to act as first level contact for IT support, while playing an active role in developing and implementing an IT strategy and related IT infrastructure. 

As an IT assistant, your responsibilities will include:

  • Completing daily IT support tasks for PEAK-Wind’s fleet of PC’s (Lenovo) and phones (iPhone)
  • Supporting our IT infrastructure (LAN, VLAN, routers, a.m.)
  • Act as single point of contact for IT needs (hardware, software, a.m.)
  • Creating solutions for supporting offshore and onshore windfarms
  • Assisting internal business projects with IT support
  • Bridging the gap between the business and IT strategy
  • Ensuring IT security
  • Setting up IT for new PEAK Wind employees
  • Standardization of IT support processes
  • Other ad hoc assignments

A Student with a Flair for IT

You are currently a student within IT or a related area, with a minimum of 2 years left until graduation. You have hands-on experience with software and computers. Previous experience in the wind industry is not a requirement but having an interest in the industry is a plus. You have an above-average understanding of Office 365 products and a general understanding of Windows platforms and devices.

In the future, you aspire to become a systems architect or lead IT engineer. As a person, you are service-minded, proactive, adaptive and have a ‘can-do’ attitude. Most importantly you are able to stay focused when IT systems aren’t working and always find the best solution. While allowing for flexibility around your exams and our business needs, we expect you to be able to work an average of 20 hours a week.

We will provide you with a unique and challenging opportunity in “an industry of the future” where you will utilize your IT capabilities, to support the daily business and explore the interaction between IT and commercial targets. We are currently using Office 365 as our core platform, together with Azure clouds services. PEAK Wind is continuously growing, as is our infrastructure needs. You will therefore get the chance to be part of defining the next steps for PEAK Wind’s infrastructure.
