We are looking for a best-in-class Operations Preparations Engineer, to support PEAK Wind’s expansion in the US. PEAK Wind specializes in operations and asset management of offshore wind farms. We are a young company founded in Denmark in 2017 by a team of experienced specialists in the field of offshore wind operations and maintenance (O&M). Our current US engagement include Vineyard Wind.
Take Active Part in some of the World’s Largest Infrastructure Investments
In PEAK Wind we work with some of the world’s largest infrastructure investments. Our clients include market leading utilities, investment funds and suppliers, and we are rapidly becoming a global leader within independent Operations & Asset Management consulting. We have a profound insight into large M&A transactions and investments and are trusted advisors for developers and investors in some of the world largest offshore wind farms. You will be part of a motivated and competent team that constantly aims to provide market leading advisory.
You will be based in our newly established office in Boston (US, Massachusetts), from where you will be a part of the operations preparation team on one of our clients’ offshore wind farms in the development or construction phase. Besides playing a key role in client projects, you will as PEAK Winds first American hire, together with our global management team and expert Danish expats, play an important role in building PEAK Wind’s US presence, services and market engagement. You will act as an engineer with responsibility for a range of operations preparation tasks. Your assignments will include:
- Developing offshore O&M strategies and logistical concepts;
- Assessing technical concepts and cost drivers for offshore wind in US;
- Creating local content strategies for O&M;
- Managing O&M interfaces towards EPC packages (wind turbine package, foundation package, etc.);
- Developing and maintaining an OPEX cost model for the project and validate modelling assumptions;
- Evaluating the US supply chain for O&M services and engage with potential suppliers.
Best-in-class Operations Preparations Engineer
You have a technical or operational engineering background with 2 to 5 years of experience. You have had commercial exposure in your studies or from your first job. Ideally, you have worked within the wind energy industry or energy sector, but we do not expect offshore wind experience.
As a person you are dedicated and work diligently with your assignments. You thrive in an informal setting, keep your attention focused on matters at hand and you are driven by creating outstanding results for clients.
You are a proactive ‘can-do’ person with a structured and results-driven approach to problem solving. You are a skilled user of Microsoft Excel.
